And honestly how is humanity going to win at all? Even if Isaac warned them, they wouldn’t be able to do anything but delay their brutal slaughter. I also really liked the idea of the DLC’s ending (though the execution was poor) because we rarely ever have bad endings in fiction. Seeing a Brethren Moon in action was really cool but I still really wish it wasn’t killed because showing they can be killed relatively easily by a single engineer ruins the perception of power (seriously, you expect me to believe Isaac can kill one yet EarthGov consisting of who knows how many starships and armies can’t kill 12?). I actually like Tau Volantis because it addresses the Fermi Paradox (why we haven’t found alien life) in this game’s universe, and the answer being that the markers killed them all and now humanity is next. Earth falling apart as a result of the markers was great. However I really liked some aspects of the story. I also don’t like how the Tau Volantis Moon was in fact killed by Isaac, you really shouldn’t be having a guy with a gun killing eldrich abominations whose power far surpasses that of any life form in the galaxy if even an advanced species of space lobsters could at best halt its birth. Not to mention Co Op which was fun but did kill the horror a bit. I really didn’t like just how many human characters were in, it kinda ruins the feeling of isolation if you have like 7 people assisting you in the story.

Aside from the big ass “EA” mark slapped on and excessive DLC alongside the ending being locked behind DLC.
